{"id":3695,"date":"2020-11-07T04:11:35","date_gmt":"2020-11-07T04:11:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asadkarim.co.uk\/?p=3695"},"modified":"2020-11-05T08:19:33","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T08:19:33","slug":"bank-of-england-november-2020-qe-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asadkarim.co.uk\/?p=3695","title":{"rendered":"Bank of England November 2020 QE Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/monetary-policy-summary-and-minutes\/2020\/november-2020\">https:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/monetary-policy-summary-and-minutes\/2020\/november-2020<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday 5th November, The Bank of England, extended its QE programme by an additional \u00a3150bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8221; The Committee voted unanimously for the Bank of England to continue with the existing programme of \u00a3100 billion of UK government bond purchases, financed by the issuance of central bank reserves, and also for the Bank of England to increase the target stock of purchased UK government bonds by an additional \u00a3150 billion, financed by the issuance of central bank reserves, to take the total stock of government bond purchases to \u00a3875 billion. &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the start of the financial crisis that began in 2008, the UK Central Bank, has created  \u00a3875 billion of new money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the QW programme was at \u00a3435bn in June 2016, and since Covid has jumped.
