To put things in context they have <strong>\u00a3307.4 Billion<\/strong> under management. (That is about 20% of UK annual GDP)<\/p>\n<p>BT the most dynamic telecommunications and media company, has its\u00a0money purchase scheme managed by Standard Life<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.btretirementsavingscheme.com\/bt\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.btretirementsavingscheme.com\/bt\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today Standard Life will pay <strong>12.34p<\/strong> per share to shareholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shareshop.hsbc.co.uk\/shareshop\/security.cgi?csi=186960&amp;action=\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.shareshop.hsbc.co.uk\/shareshop\/security.cgi?csi=186960&amp;action=<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is a yield of<strong> 5.5%<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How much has Standard Life paid out today to its shareholders ?<\/p>\n<p>The share capital issued by Standard Life is 1,975,305,518 shares.<\/p>\n<p>Thus:-<\/p>\n<p>1,975,305,518 x \u00a30.1234 = \u00a3243,752,700.92<\/p>\n<p>That is <strong>\u00a3243 million<\/strong>.
